First, we moved the motor and pumps outside the tub cavity. This creates even more room inside the Protec Hot Tub for you to get comfortable.
It also made it possible to take the second step – insulating all four sides of the hot tub (and every other model of portable Beachcomber Hot Tub) just like you would in the most energy efficient home today. Every nook and cranny is filled with insulation to make Beachcomber’s Protec Hot Tub the most energy efficient hot tub available today.
Third, we designed a housing for the pump and motor to do double duty as a step that makes it easier for people to get in and out of the tub safely. The special housing also makes it easier to access the pump and motor. We also have an injection system that draws air from the pump and motor housing into mixing ducts, injecting warm air instead of cold into the water. Protec really is something different.
Guarantee - What do you mean by your guarantee versus the hot tub industry’s limited warranty?
It seems to me that a limited warranty protects the manufacturer, not the customer. Buying a hot tub is a major purchase, but few people understand what can go wrong. I put in a guarantee to protect the purchaser. I’m proud of the position Beachcomber has taken in looking after their customer after they purchase a hot tub. It’s still a young industry and people are not as familiar with buying a hot tub as they are with other household appliances. I recommend you check closely that you don’t buy a hot tub or spa with the limited spa industry warranty that has incorporated outright exclusions, limitations and disclaimers in their product. Is installing permanent pillows or molding them directly into the spa a good method of manufacturing?
No. I don’t recommend buying a hot tub with pillows molded right into the material. Customers have told me that one of the biggest problems with this method of construction is that the permanent pillows absorbs odors from the bathers and spa water. This is not only unpleasant but also very expensive to correct. As an alternative, Beachcomber has developed comfortable contoured neck recesses without pillows that still gives the customers the option of adding a portable pillow if needed.
Is it important to have lots of horsepower and jets?

You can set up your Beachcomber Hot Tub in your back yard in a few minutes. All you need is a level space, an outdoor tap and a garden hose and an electric connection like the one on your kitchen stove.
What color hot tub is the easiest to clean and care for?
Not white! A white surface shows every spec of dirt or sand. Beachcomber has lots of colors to choose from. We recommend a textured granite finish to match your home décor.
Where is the best place to put my hot tub?
The best spot for your hot tub is about 10 feet from your back door. That makes it easier to get to and from all year long and helps reduce exposure to wind so you can get maximum enjoyment from your soak.
